The "Waiting on product scan" does not seem to be related to sample libraries as such, which many help type threads and google were eluding to. Ok, so i've spent some more time this afternoon on this. Not 100% on what the deal is, just I see the same kinds of threads/complaints popping up which all seem to have strange issues for the power the machines have. I have heard a lot of complaints with other issues lately such as slow GUI response, CPU spikes etc from more modern Mac machines, after 2012.
The issue could be Komplete Kontrol and some tweak that needs to be done for MAC but the issue does not seem to appear for PC users so it's more of a Mac specific issue.
I have heard of this same issue affecting a handful of other users too in other threads and no prizes for what OS they are all running too. Both of you have the same apparent issue and both are using Mac and with similar specs on my machine we see no such issues there. Spec wise there is no reason it should take ANYWHERE near those numbers on those systems above. Something underlying either with the OS or how the application is handled by the OS. The issue has nothing to do with the overall speed/power of the system but some issue with a thread or the way the system is launching the application. My educated guess is that all 3 of you are Mac users, one because you say you use Logic and two because from my last 12 months of monitoring issues, many of the latest hiccups and issues appear to be weird MacOs related issues for whatever reasons but it's becoming more and more frequent over many different applications. That is usable data (and i'm not even here because I have an issue) and I am sure your experience is much worse. (dragging the KK instrument rack from ableton browser WITHOUT a pre-loaded instrument) Load time for Komplete Kontrol = 2.7 (ish) seconds Samsung EVO SSD x 3 (OS, VST Content, Work) Words like "it's slow" and "my system is fast" are as useful as saying to a mechanic "my car don't go no more, how to fix ?!?!" To get an idea what "slow" means to each individual, what kind of time are we talking and on what system with what versions of software.?
